Medium Soft Pile (Herki's are well known for this), consistent abrash throughout the rug, design of the border trails off toward one end of the rug, the rug lays straight so this was likely done with the rug in order that it would lay straight, but visually can look as though the design is turning off at that end. See photos for details. Has a couple of repaired areas through the rug and some color bleeding mild on the fringe only.

For professional rug cleaning, opt for those with experience handling vintage and antique wool rugs.
Rotating your rug may help prevent concentrated wear on your rug or fading on areas exposed to sun.
